In a world that seems to move faster every day, finding a Godly order in our lives can feel like a daunting challenge. The daily hustle and bustle can cloud our spiritual focus, pushing us further from what truly matters. Many people grapple with a sense of inadequacy, driven by societal expectations and material cravings that pull us away from Christ and our loved ones. This blog post explores the significance of restoring the Godly order and offers practical steps to re-align ourselves with Christ at the center of our lives, supported by scripture.
The Attack on Godly Order
From the very beginning, the Godly order has faced challenges. In Genesis, we see God create the family structure, with a man leading and nurturing. Yet, this divine arrangement often encounters obstacles from personal desires and modern societal pressures.
For instance, many men today misinterpret this Godly framework, focusing heavily on materialism. A survey revealed that a large number of people admit to making purchases they can't afford to seem successful to others. The desire to buy larger homes or newer vehicles often stems from keeping up appearances, not genuine needs.
The hierarchy is simple, but upholding it can be difficult: it begins with God, followed by Christ Jesus, then the man, and finally the woman. 1 Corinthians 11:3 clearly states: "But there is one thing I want you to know: The head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God." Our children, work, and ministry are not mentioned, but we believe they follow in this specific order.
In essence, when materialism becomes a priority, work gradually rises in importance, eventually overshadowing the kids, spouse, and ultimately even surpassing God, and the development of our faith.
When this order is disrupted, I believe the blessing of this crucial order and command is completely lost, and the example set for the children might be one they replicate in their adult lives.
The Role of Women in the Godly Order
Women play a crucial role in upholding the family structure. Designed to support their husbands, they strengthen the home. However, when men do not guide their families, many women take on leadership roles that can lead to frustration.
The Bible highlights the importance of husbands as leaders (1 Timothy 3:1-4). When this leadership is absent, women may struggle to find their place, which can disrupt family harmony. For example, research shows that families with clear leadership roles report 30% higher satisfaction levels compared to those without defined roles.
A supportive partnership allows for a nurturing environment where everyone thrives.
The Call to Follow Christ
Restoring the Godly order begins with making Christ the focal point of our lives. A strong relationship with Him transforms our priorities. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus invites us: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
By submitting ourselves to Christ, we desire His will over worldly temptations. This means trusting in God's timing and provision rather than chasing material desires.
Matthew 6:33 captures this beautifully: “But seek first his Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” When we prioritize spiritual growth, we experience a more fulfilling life that transcends the temporary nature of material success.
Living in the Spirit
The Holy Spirit serves as our guide, empowering us to resist temptations. Galatians 5:16 tells us, “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Embracing the Holy Spirit in our lives helps us discern genuine needs from unnecessary wants.
Building this relationship requires deliberate effort. Spending time in prayer, engaging with scripture, and seeking wise counsel strengthens our connection with God. This relationship acts as an anchor, keeping us grounded amidst worldly distractions.
Embracing the Journey of Restoration
In today’s materialistic society, restoring the Godly order is essential. While distractions are everywhere, the call to prioritize Christ remains strong. By recognizing the influence of societal pressures, both men and women can return to God’s principles, fostering a household where love reigns and Christ leads.
By seeking God’s Kingdom first, we can achieve a balance in our lives, relationships, and faith amidst worldly distractions. Let us encourage each other to realign our priorities, ensuring our homes reflect the Godly order God designed.

Remember, the path to restoration begins with our willingness to follow God’s lead. May we all strive to live a life guided by the Holy Spirit, centered on our faith and family.
